As you might have heard, RIM has just announced the latest Blackberry series, the Blackberry Torch 9800. The first ever slider Blackberry has a very sleek design, decent specs, and of course the glorious Blackberry 6 OS. You can see the full Blackberry Torch specs and also the Blackberry Torch review from the provided links.

Just recently we heard a great news for Canadian people. Bell, Rogers, TELUS and the Virgin Mobile have just confirmed that they will offer the Blackberry Torch and all of the Blackberry 6 goodness as soon as possible. Both TELUS and Rogers have said that the Blackberry Torch will be available later this year. Meanwhile, Bell gave a more precise Blackberry Torch release date on this year’s fall season.

Unfortunately, we still haven’t found out the exact availability and pricing for the Canadian Blackberry Torch 9800. But based on the AT&T BB Torch Pricing, the Blackberry Torch price in Canada should be around  $199.99 with two year agreement.

Ok, this might be not a surprise for me and other tech geeks; but common users in Canada might find this news interesting. Just yesterday I heard that Canada’s Virgin Mobile has launched their HSPA+ network. And apparently the surprise doesn’t stop there. Canadian people and Virgin Mobile customer can now enjoy their Blackberry Bold 9700! Anyway, the price was also revealed and the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is listed at $149.99 with three year contract (with voice and data plan), or $549.99 without contract.

In addition, the Blackberry Curve 8530 CDMA was also launched for $49.99 with three year contract, or $399.99 without. Anyway, the Bold 9700 price is pretty similar with other Canadian carrier.
