The rumored Blackberry Storm3 codenamed Blackberry Odin specs and features have leaked over at the internet. This Blackberry Storm 3 is rumored to be released later this year. Several information that can be retrieved from the Blackberry Storm 3 training slide are some specs and features.

There is a new Blackberry in town. Just recently we got a fresh information that there will be Blackberry 9780, and it is a GSM Blackberry. According to our sources, the Blackberry 9780 specs and features will include:

The Blackberry 9780 is rumored as the Blackberry 9700 refresher, and some said that it might be a touchscreen phone and has a 5 megapixel camera, but it is still a rumor. As a GSM phone, the Blackberry 9780 might be going to the AT&T and T-Mobile is the USA.

Verizon Blackberry Bold 9650 Release Date: June 3 (online), June 10 (in stores)

First of all, it is still a rumor. Just recently I heard that Verizon Blackberry Bold 9650 release date (online) will be on June 3rd. And a week after that on June 10th we will be able to see the Blackberry Bold 9650 in stores. The rumor seems to be quite convincing, since as you can see from the picture, a screenshot confirm those release dates.

Another interesting rumor is about the availability of non-camera version of Blackberry Bold 9650. For those who work on a company that prohibited them to bring any kind of photo shooting device should be relieved.

Blackberry Pearl 3G (BB 9100) is Officially Announced by Telstra Australia

Good news for our folks in Australia. Just recently Telstra mobile operator has announced they will launch the Blackberry Pearl 3G a.k.a. Pearl 9100. Telstra claimed that they are “the exclusive Australian launch partner” for the Blackberry Pearl 3G 9100. Anyway, the Telstra’s Pearl 3G (BB 9100) is different from the Vodafone UK’s Pearl 3G (BB 9105). Unlike the 9105, the Blackberry Pearl 3G 9100 has a SureType QWERTY keyboard instead of a regular, alphanumeric one.

The Blackberry pearl 3G 9100 notable features including a 624MHz processor, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.2 Megapixel autofocus camera, standard 3.5mm audio jack, Blackberry Messenger, Blackberry Maps, 360×400 pixels display, and dedicated music keys.

The smallest Blackberry smartphone seems to be this new BlackBerry Pearl 3G. This 3G Blackberry smartphone is designed in cool and compact design comes with good performance and top feature-rich. Of course it supports BlackBerry email, messaging and social networking.

The smallest body is proven by its less than two inches wide (50 mm) size and 3.3 ounces (93g) in weight. Like the name suggests, it supports for high-speed 3G (UMTS/HSDPA) networks, Wi-Fi (b/g/n) and GPS. All these are powered by a powerhouse processor that leads to stunning pictures on the high-res and sharp screen.

For ease navigation, it is equipped with an optical trackpad for smooth navigation, media and volume keys as well as a 3.2 Mpx camera with flash and finally supports up to 32 GB of storage.

There are 2 models can be chosen within some lustrous colors. The first is 9100 model that features a 20-key condensed QWERTY keyboard. It’s been a while since I posted a comparison on 2 new Blackberry phones, right? Well I guess it is time to do another comparison, since RIM has come with 2 amazing devices on its sleeve… The RIM Blackberry Tour 9630 and Blackberry Storm 2 9520…

Now the main reason I made this comparison between Tour 9630 vs Storm 2 9520 is because both phones were released (Storm 2 9520 will be released soon and the Tour was just released recently) relatively in a short time. Both Tour and Storm 2 offers great specs and features. Now if you are a Blackberry user and want to have the best blackberry available to date, you will need this comparison

So before we went deeper in the Blackberry Tour vs Storm 2 comparison, I want to explain how the comparison work. Just like our Blackberry Bold vs Storm comparison, we will discuss many aspects of both phones, the Tour and the Storm 2.Those aspects of comparison include display, dimension and weight, design, camera, music capabilities, connectivity, etc….

Please remember that the official specs and features of Blackberry Storm 2 9520 hasn’t come out yet, so we will do the Tour vs Storm 2 comparison based on the available specs and features (collected from Phonearena). Ok lets just start, shall we?

Display Comparison

Blackberry Tour 9630 has a pretty big display resolution; 460 x 320 pixels and 65000 colors. The display screen is a TFT screen and the exact size of the screen is 2.4 inches. Unfortunately, the exact information on Blackberry Storm 9520 is still hiding somewhere :p. But we do know that the Blackberry Storm 2 9520 is a touchscreen phone, just like other Storm series. It also uses a TFT screen.

In addition, our source said that the Storm 9520 might use the light sensor. Regarding the resolution, probably the Blackberry Storm 2 will equipped the same resolution with the Nokia X6 (340×640 pixel). Based on the recent Blackberry Storm 2 video; it was revealed that the screen built is much better than its predecessor…

Design, Dimension, Weight (physical aspect) comparison

Again, no detailed picture is available for the Blackberry Storm 2. But based on the leaked pics; the Blackberry Storm 2 is pretty much similar with Blackberry Storm… To prove it, here is a pic where Storm and Storm 2 is compared side-to-side:

I have to say that people may have different taste, but if you ask me, in terms of design I would go for Blackberry Storm 2. There are 2 reasons: the storm 2 has some kind of elegant look, and I’m kinda bored with the kind of design that Tour has (no offense, RIM…)

Not much to say about the dimension and weight of the Storm 2, but based on the pictures, I suppose the dimension of Storm 2 is close to the Storm 9500 and the weight is around 155g. Meanwhile, the Blackberry Tour 9630 is a middle-sized phone with 4.41 x 2.44 x 0.56 inches (112 x 62 x 14.2 mm) and 130g of weight.Wait for my update, guys

Network and Connectivity comparison

When talking about connectivity, there are just small numbers of features that matters actually. Those are 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity… So the Blackberry Tour 9630 support HSDPA and HSUPA connection; but no Wi-Fi. Meanwhile, on the Blackberry 9530 Storm 2 side, there is no exact information on the connectivity; but we heard that the Storm 9530 Storm 2 will include Wi-Fi and HSDPA… So for now I guess the winner is the 9520 Storm 2….

Camera and Music features

In this part of comparison, I think it is a tie. Both Blackberry Storm 2 and Tour have a 3.2 Megapixel camera. What makes difference is the features and supporting tools. The Blackberry Tour 9630 features an autofocus, 4x zoom and LED flash. So until we see the full specs of the Storm 2 9520, the winner is Blackberry Tour 9630.

Meanwhile, in terms of music it is a tie match. Both Blackberry phone has a 3.5mm standard headset jack; making the devices grasp the attention of non-business phone searcher

Storage capacity and Battery comparison

Well, it is a tie. Both Blackberry Storm 2 and the Tour has the same amount of internal memory (256 MB) and the same maximum capacity of hot swappable memory card (up to 32GB)… Now if we are talking about the battery comparison between Storm 2 vs Tour; The Tour has a standby time of up to 336 hours, with 5 hours of max talktime. Meanwhile, the information on the Storm 2 9520 battery life is yet unknown. But rest assured I will update this

Other thing you might want to consider

OS is definitely something important for a phone. The Blackberry Tour 9630 uses a Blackberry OS 4.7 while the Blackberry Storm 2 9520 uses Blackberry OS 5.0; so you see in this aspect of comparison the Storm 2 won from the Tour 9630. However, in terms of CPU and processor speed; they’re just the same. Both of Blackberry Storm 2 and Tour uses a 528 Mhz processor. The Storm 2 processor speed is still unconfirmed though. But if it does use the old Storm 1 processor, I have to admit that I’m a bit disappointed. The storm 2 9520 also has a TV out jack, a feature that the Tour 9630 doesn’t have. I cannot give you the price comparison yet, but I’m guessing the Storm 2 will be slightly more expensive than the Tour, regarding the freshness of the device and the extra touchscreen and Wi-Fi The question is, how differ will it be?

Airtel Blackberry Curve 8520 in India: It is official

The Blackberry Curve 8520 (Previously known as the Blackberry Gemini) has finally reached India. One of the largest carrier there, Airtel, have announced that the Blackberry Curve 8520 will hit the India’s market on August 7 for 15,990 INR (about $336).

So, if you follow the news in this blog, you should be aware that the Blackberry Curve 8520 is the first Blackberry handset that features an optical trackpad, replacing the previous trackball.

Ok, this weekend belongs to Blackberry. Have you noticed that many Blackberry news are released this week? from the Blackberry Tour 9630 release, pictures of Onyx 9020, Skyfire for Blackberry, etc…

However, this is the latest and the hottest of all: according to my source at BoyGenius, Blackberry Storm 2 a.k.a. Blackberry 9550 specs and features have been revealed, even though it is still a leaked specs and features.

As you can see from the Onyx specs and features, the Blackberry Onyx 9020 is somewhat an upgrade of the Blackberry Bold, which has a smaller design, a 3.2 Megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, 256Mb of internal memory, and a similar battery to the Bold.

The Blackberry Tour 9630 is Now Official!

The Blackberry Tour 9630, previously known as Blackberry Niagara 9630, is finally has its own official announcement by RIM. According to the buzz over at the internet, the Blackberry Tour 9630 will be released in U.S. by two carriers, which are Verizon and Sprint. Another buzz said that Canadian market will see the Blackberry Tour 9630 released by Bell and Telus.

So there were no surprise in the announcement of the Tour 9630; since there had been a leaked information about the Blackberry Tour (Niagara) 9630 specs and features.

The price for Blackberry Tour 9630 will be $199 (Sprint version) after $100 mail-in rebate on a 2-yr contract. Other carriers have yet to announce their pricing for the BlackBerry Tour 9630.

There’s an update to the talktime of the Tour, which is 5 hours (previously reported it was 4 hours). The Tour 9630 can also stay on for 2 weeks. It was also revealed that in addition of 256MB internal storage capacity, the Blackberry Tour 9630 will support MicroSD cards of up to 32GB

RIM Blackberry Gemini Specs and Features
