Blackberry Torch 9800 has been the RIM’s highlight of this year (and with its Blackberry 6 OS, of course), and it is understandable that mobile carriers around the world is trying to provide this current best Blackberry phone of 2010 to attract more subscribers. In England, we have heard that the Blackberry Torch 9800 is set to be launched by Vodafone, but the latest buzz over at the internet said that O2 UK will also release the Blackberry Torch 9800.

As you can see from the picture, there is a possibility that the Blackberry Torch will come to O2 on October 4. However, it is just a prediction, we haven’t got any confirmation about the O2 Torch release date nor the Torch price offered by O2 England.

The Blackberry Torch is the first ever Blackberry that comes with the Blackberry 6 OS (which has a great performance; read our Blackberry 6 OS review). It is also the first slider Blackberry ever released. Some of the Blackberry Torch notable specs includes HSDPA, Wi-Fi, a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, etc. Read our post about Blackberry Torch review and the Torch pros and cons to see more information about this year’s best Blackberry device.

Blackberry Torch has got another OS update, and this time the OS version is OS 6.0.0.214. While the previous leaked Torch OS update is not very satisfactory; the OS 6.0.0.214 might be worth to try.

You can download the leaked Blackberry Torch OS update from hotfile. Since it is stored in public online storage, you might want to download the Torch OS update right away since the file can be deleted anytime.

The OS update is NOT compatible to other Blackberry besides the Blackberry Torch 9800. You should also delete the vendor.xml file if you are installing the update on different carrier besides the AT&T. You can find the file in c:program files>common files>research in motion>apploader.

As usual, please remember that only install it if you are comfortable with the process and you have to install it at your own risk. And if you still don’t know how to update your Blackberry OS Update version, follow this link and find out guides on how to install/update your new Blackberry OS update

So go on and try the Torch OS update if you are interested, and drop some comments about it by filling the comment form available below. Enjoy.
