Adidas have always popular as a sports-related product brand; and I have to say their performance is pretty good. Just recently Adidas have released a free Blackberry app called miCoach. The free Blackberry app is basically a free personal training app.

According to its Blackberry App World page, currently the miCoach Blackberry app support Blackberry devices, including Blackberry 8310, Curve 8900, Bold 9000, and Bold 9700. It also supports all countries and carriers.

Some of the miCoach free Blackberry app features are:

  • Syncs to miCoach.com to save and view detailed analysis of your workouts.
  • Measures your distance, pace, calories burned, and elapsed time.
  • Get daily planned workouts and coaching feedback delivered to your phone.
  • Outdoor/indoor workout modes.
  • Easy access to your music during your workout.
  • Tracks your shoe usage with wear alerts.
  • Highly customizable audible alerts.

According to some of the comments about the free Blackberry app, the Adidas miCoach works great and the fact that it is a freeware is awesome. From 95 reviews, the free Blackberry app rating is 4/5. It has potentials to become one of the best Blackberry app available in Sports app category.

Guy over at bbgeeks.com has written an interesting tip of getting the data signal on your Blackberry. As he had experienced this thing several times so he tough you probably have the same difficulties. This problem usually will happen when you don’t use your device for a while or you are in non-reception zone (ex subway). You may open a site and expect the Request bar to fill up. In this case, many will think to pull the battery that actually can be pain, as some devices need long time to boot up.

Yup. You heard me right, i am currently planning on making a list of best Blackberry Apps (Freeware). I probably will make a new category for it, which might be called as best blackberry app. Perhaps there will be 20 best blackberry freeware I will posted there, and you might be familiar with some of them. Most freeware should be able to work on all blackberry series, including Blackberry Bold 9700, Tour, Storm, Bold 9000, Curve, and Pearl.

I’m planning to discuss about each freeware on a single post, so there will be several series. :) I look forward to post the list of best blackberry freeware for you, my beloved readers, I hope I can post 1-2 best blackberry Apps (freeware) each week and I will update this post each time I posted a page about it.

Quick navigation can be got thru shortcut keys in almost all native apps. There are Blackberry tips have been available such as home screen shortcuts, browser shortcuts, message screen shortcuts and so on.

But are you notice that it can be a lil bit frustrating when you try a new app without shortcuts? In the beginning you may think it seems like to have shortcut but turns out to be not (like some Twitter applications).

The other thing, you may have noticed that in your message screen tips, you cant cover shortcuts within the message.

So here we’ll go, adding to the message screen shortcuts.

When you are Inside a message

When you’re inside a BlackBerry email, you can use the following shortcut keys:

R: Reply

L: Reply All

F: Forward message

I: File a message in a folder

Q: When your cursor is over a sender or recipient, this shows their email address

T: Top of message

B: Bottom of message

S: Search for text within a message

G: Move the cursor to the last position in a received message

Are you a Blackberry user? If so, you might find a cool feature of your device namely Automatically Dim Backlight. This option is located in Options > Screen/Keyboard. A pool about this option has been made by crackberry.com. The pool gives question whether the users set their “Automatically Dim Backlight” option to OFF or ON. The answer are vary but most of them seem to turn on the option.

The blog post author, Adam Zeis never uses this option personally. But he finds the option usefull especially when the user is located in a dark room. Take for instance, when he was on a concert, he set it to automatically dim and the result was cool. Yes, the option may give users a little trouble depended on the available lighting. But in other side, this nice feature can help users save their battery life.
