Here is a new freeware for Blackberry Storm 9500. We have heard several app for this kind of service, but this one comes for free. The Blackberry Storm freeware is called Portaserver, and it is a solution for accessing files on our beloved Blackberry phones over Wi-Fi. So here’s how it works: the Portaserfer freeware allows us to connect to our Blackberry Storm over Wi-Fi to browse and download files from your BlackBerry.

PortaServer allows you to use your WiFi capable BlackBerry as a web server, and access its file system from any web browser on the same network. You can view or download pictures, music, videos, documents or web pages directly from your handset over a WiFi connection.
The web server provides a password to protect your data from random visitors; this password is displayed on the main screen of PortaServer. The password will not, however, protect you from targeted attacks or when using public WiFi networks. We recommend that you only use PortaServer in a secure environment (e.g. your home or office network)

Upon launching, PortaServer displays the URL to connect to your BlackBerry, and the password required to access the device. To use, simply turn on PortaServer, enter the URL it provides into a web browser on another device (computer, PDA, or other), enter the password, and you will be able to browse the phone’s files.

There’s another good news. The Portaserver freeware is also can be used in various Blackberry Models, including: 8120 (Pearl), 8220 (Pearl Flip), 8320 (Curve), 8330 (Curve), 8350i (Curve), 8520 (Curve), 8530 (Curve), 8900 (Curve), 9000 (Bold), 9020 (Onyx), Curve, Pearl Flip 8230

Wow, can you imagine blogging right from your Blackberry? well I can… It is very interesting how we can update our Wordpress blog right from our Blackberry device, either it is Storm, Bold, Curve, Tour, or even the Onyx. So beside the email and other stuff, Wordpress mobile blogging is the latest reason for you to get one of the Blackberry devices. Well, RIM Blackberry is known for spending more time on perfecting the keypad design so that their users can get the most comfortable keypad to type anything, anywhere..

Anyway, the Wordpress client for Blackberry has a very simple and straight forward setup. After installing the wordpress client, all you have to do is setup your hosting details. It’s that easy.

If you are done with that, you can write new post, upload pictures, moderate comments, etc. So welcome to the world of Blogging, everyone

So, finally the feature that we’ve been expected to see in the Blackberry Onyx 9020 is here. There’s a leaked pictures over at the internet showing the Blackberry Onyx 9020 equipped with a trackpad. If you read the review about Blackberry Onyx 9020, you’ll see why this trackpad completes the awesomeness of the Blackberry Onyx 9020… So, bye-bye trackball…

Rumors about Blackberry Bold 9700 “Onyx” have buzzing around for a while now. And most of them are saying that the Bold 9700 Onyx could be the best Blackberry available to date. The reason? well, I personally think that the Bold 9700 Onyx is the best blackberry because it is the latest and I personally think that It has several better things compared to other Blackberry devices. In this post we will also do a small comparison between the Blackberry Bold 9700 Onyx vs Bold 9000 vs Curve 8900 vs Tour 9630. The full comparison will be made as soon as the actual device is announced…

Blackberry Bold 9700 Onyx Design, Camera, Keyboard, Trackball,

Ok, so lets start with the design. First thing that caught my eyes were the lack of silver chrome band around the Bold 9700 Onyx. This band is found on its siblings, the Blackberry Bold 9000 and Blackberry Curve 8900. And let me tell you a secret: I don’t really like the chrome stuff on the Curve and Bold 9000…Which makes the looks of the Bold 9700 Onyx is more elegant. The Bold 9700 Onyx is pretty slim (it’s a bit slimmer than the Curve 8900) and the comfort is pretty good also. So the Onyx has an elegant design, pretty slim and comfortable.

Blackberry Bold 9700 Onyx uses 3.2 megapixel camera, which is the same camera that Blackberry Curve 8900 use. So you can guess now that the quality of the image taken by the Blackberry Bold 9700 Onyx will be decent enough for a business phone. As you might’ve known, the Curve 8900 is able to take some great shots with its camera.

The keyboard is pretty much alike the sibling, the Blackberry Tour 9630 with a slight difference in the bottom row of keyboard. But overall the Blackberry Bold 9700 Onyx’s keyboard is pretty nice and I assume that most people will have no problem with the keyboard. The trackball of the Onyx still uses the old trackball navigation, but since it is still a review based on a pre-released device, lets just hope that RIM will be generous enough to add an optical trackball to the Bold 9700 Onyx…

Blackberry Bold 9700 Onyx 3G, WiFi, Storage

Not much to be said about the OS of the pre-release version of the Blackberry Bold 9700 Onyx.To be honest, I have to cut several part of this review since I got an email from RIM…. So let me paraphrase my opinion…

Unboxing video time! As you can see from the title above, the new Blackberry Onyx 9020 is the lucky device to be strapped down. Take a look closely guys, do you see your next Blackberry device? well, I do….

As you can see from the Onyx specs and features, the Blackberry Onyx 9020 is somewhat an upgrade of the Blackberry Bold, which has a smaller design, a 3.2 Megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, 256Mb of internal memory, and a similar battery to the Bold.
